The LMS Newsletter is the monthly newsletter of the London Mathematical Society containing news and features on topics of interest to members of the Society together with details of conferences and other events in the mathematical world. A typical issue runs to some 32 pages and carries 4–6 pages of advertising. The LMS Newsletter is published monthly except in August. Deadlines April 2012 issue: Orders and copy by mid-day, Friday 24 February 2012.
Format Press-ready JPG or TIFF with artwork at actual size (see below), in 8-bit greyscale (preferred; PDF also accepted); no trim marks; no bleed. The artwork itself should be cropped to the correct dimensions. Do not include a border; a 0.25pt black frame border will be added when the advert is typeset (see this EXAMPLE). Please check that the resolution is at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) at actual size. Circulation 2,500: breakdown of 1,750 UK, 300 Europe and 450 rest of the world. Please note: we do not sell or rent our mailing list. Publication Advertisements are not accepted for events that occur within the first week of the publication month. Advertisements also appear in the on-line pdf version of the Newsletter. All artwork/advertisements are published in black and white. There is no agency commission. VAT is applicable at the appropriate rate. Invoices are sent on publication with voucher copy. Special Discounts Orders for 6 issues (within a period of 1 year) will be given a 10% discount. Orders for 12 months (11 issues) will be given a 15% discount. Inserts Inserts, which must be no larger than A5 size, are charged at the same price as a double page advert (see above) PLUS the additional cost of postage resulting from the weight of the insert (charged at net cost to the LMS).
